Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks a Senior Planning Manager to work with the Project Team to develop effective programmes and monitor them within the established performance framework, ensuring timely delivery and minimising disputes among project stakeholders. You will lead, manage and motivate the Planning Team and contribute at a senior level to the Management team.

Ideal candidates hold a tertiary qualification in a related field and have 10+ years in planning or project management, plus extensive construction

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in planning or project management.
• Tertiary qualification in project management, building management, quantity surveying, engineering, architecture or similar.
• Extensive construction industry experience; KSA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement best practice for planning functions in the branch, ensuring the planning discussions are held and development forums exist.
• Assist in compiling project proposals and advise on staffing allocations.
• Manage IT and software requirements for the planning department and guide leadership on this regard.
• Manage and motivate colleagues and the planning team.
• Monitor training requirements for the Planning Team and make recommendations to leadership.
• Develop initiation programmes and detailed plans for all development phases.
• Develop an overall development project progress control system for all phases.
• Effectively present project plans to stakeholders.

Job description

The Senior Planning Manager will work with the Project Team to develop effective programmes and ensure these are monitored within the performance and management framework established for the development, thereby ensuring overall team success for timely delivery of projects, while minimising claims and disputes between project stakeholders. He will lead, manage and motivate Planning Team as well as to make a high-level contribution to the Management team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification (University Graduate) in either Project Management, Building Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture or similar plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a planning / project management role
• Extensive experiential learning in the construction industry (15 years plus)
• Progressively increased responsibility over career duration
• Relevant projects of an appropriate scale (mixed-use residential, hotel, villas)
• KSA experience preferred

Responsibilities
