Job summary

SDV Consulting Engineers is seeking a Planning Engineer for an on-site role in Abu Dhabi. You will develop and manage project schedules, monitor progress, and implement project controls to align timelines and resources with goals.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years in construction including 5+ years in Abu Dhabi, strong communication, and experience with mega projects and engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Well versed in Primavera P6.
• Minimum 10 years in construction with at least 5 years in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with mega projects preferred.
• Experience in Engineering Consultancy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress; prepare weekly/monthly progress reports with critical path analysis.
• Identify delays, risks; recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and schedule compliance.
• Support delay analysis, claims assessment, and variation evaluation.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients and contractors for coordination.
• Maintain records of schedules and supporting documentation for audits and closeout.
