Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer/Senior Planning Engineer for large-scale mixed-use and residential developments in Dubai. You will lead the development and management of complex project schedules, monitor progress, and perform delay and risk analyses to drive milestones.

You will collaborate with clients, contractors and consultants to ensure timely delivery, develop dashboards and KPI reports, and support EOT and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Planning and Controls.
• Primavera P6 capability/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contractors' baseline schedules for compliance with contract requirements and milestones.
• Monitor progress against approved baselines and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules to support execution and resource planning.
• Analyze schedule risks, critical paths, constraints and potential delivery impacts.
• Conduct delay analyses and support EOT assessments and claims.
• Review progress reports, recovery plans and revised schedules.
• Develop dashboards, KPI reports, earned value metrics and schedule performance analyses.
• Coordinate with resident engineers, construction managers, contractors and client representatives to collect data.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities against schedules.
• Identify schedule deviations and recommend mitigation and acceleration strategies.
• Support project controls, risk management, forecasting and change management processes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with executive summaries and analyses.
• Participate in project review meetings and stakeholder workshops.
