Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi infrastructure project team. The role focuses on developing and monitoring contractor baselines, recovery schedules, and update programs on-site.

Responsibilities include progressing reports, critical path analysis, and collaboration with Resident Engineer and planners to mitigate delays. UAE experience is advantageous; on-site work in Abu Dhabi is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/construction related field.
• 7+ years in planning/scheduling for infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Experience reviewing contractor programmes and progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and monitor baseline, recovery, and updated schedules.
• Ensure logic-linking, resource-loading, and alignment with contract scope.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports with look-ahead programmes.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineer and contractor planning teams.
• Identify risks, delays, and mitigation actions.
• Assist in EOT submissions and time-impact analyses.
• Maintain progress dashboards and KPIs.
• Present planning updates to management and client.
