Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer - Planning in Abu Dhabi, UAE to lead detailed scheduling, resource planning and performance reporting across major projects. You will collaborate with engineering teams, project managers and clients to optimize delivery and forecast costs.

Key qualifications include 8+ years in engineering with planning experience and proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and Excel. On-site role with strong analytical and communication skills preferred for local regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with 3+ years in planning or scheduling.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and timelines.
• Analyze requirements to identify schedule risks, dependencies, and optimization.
• Coordinate resource allocation across multiple projects for capacity planning.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop data-driven planning recommendations.
• Monitor performance against baselines and suggest corrective actions.
• Prepare planning reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to refine planning.
• Estimate project costs, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and efficiency.
• Support risk assessment, mitigation planning, and contingency management.
• Mentor junior planning personnel and contribute to planning practices.
