Job summary

GSSTech Group in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Engineer to lead DBA activities on large enterprise systems, focusing on high availability and performance. You will manage RAC, Data Guard, OCI, AWS, OEM, RMAN, patching, migrations, and automate tasks with Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Groovy, Terraform, Bash, and Python.

You will work with cross-functional teams and may participate in out-of-hours support when required.

Qualifications

Extensive Oracle DBA experience in large enterprise environments.
Strong RAC, Data Guard, OEM, RMAN and patching skills.
Experience with OCI/AWS and DevOps tooling.
Proficiency in SQL/PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, and scripting (Python/Bash).
Background in automation and Agile delivery is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level Oracle database administration and engineering support.
Design, implement, maintain, and support highly available DB environments.
Perform advanced performance tuning and workload analysis.
Administer RAC and Data Guard for HA and DR.
Manage databases across OCI and AWS; monitor with OEM.
Handle backups with RMAN and perform patching and migrations.
Automate DBA tasks using Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Groovy, Terraform, Bash, Python.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in incidents.
