Job summary

Global Software Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Engineer in Dubai to lead enterprise Oracle DB operations and optimization.

You will work on Oracle RAC, Data Guard, OCI and AWS, perform RMAN backups, patching, performance tuning, and cloud migrations while implementing automation with Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Groovy, Terraform, Bash, and Python. The role demands resilience and ability to manage multiple critical projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration/Engineering in large enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, OEM, RMAN, patching, and performance tuning.
• Experience with OCI and AWS cloud services for database deployments.
• Proficient in scripting with Bash and Python; automation with Ansible and DevOps practices.
• Ability to design highly available and disaster-resilient database architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level Oracle DBA support for enterprise platforms.
• Design and maintain highly available Oracle database environments.
• Perform advanced performance tuning including SQL tuning and workload analysis.
• Administer RAC and Data Guard for HA and DR.
• Migrate databases across OCI and AWS with minimal business disruption.
• Automate DBA tasks with scripting and modern DevOps tools.
