Overview
Responsible in providing assistance to Flight Operations Control Centre Manager to ensure safe compliant and flawless operation of all aircrafts and ensure all policies and procedures are adhered .
Responsibilities
- Develop and embed a culture of customer focus and performance management to ensure high quality and continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Ensure that the organisations approach to data protection security and retention complies with best practice and that policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
- To develop continuously improve and implement the organisations approach to risk management.
- Continuously demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in managing allocated resources for his/her department
- Ensure that communication between all stakeholders Maintenance and Load control are monitored identified and actioned on time.
- Responsible for crosschecking the planning scenarios of each mission on the shift. Secure all permits and follow up for any missing information.
- Receive correlate and accept preplanned mission files from Fight Planners on each shift.
- To initiate revise and update the Flight Plan including short notice flights
- Ensure that 24/7 coordination between the operations is maintained.
- Responsible for maintaining 24/7 effective liaison with subordinate mission support organizations including Operational Engineering and Administrative elements. Ensure the readiness and planning requirements as detailed through the reporting structures.
- Monitor weather conditions aircraft position reports and aeronautical l navigation charts to evaluate the progress of flight.
- Ensure the information flow is carried out in a top confidential manner
- Interacting with all operating departments to ensure all dayofflight opportunities operating constraints and all irregular operation recovery options are identified and actioned.
- Assist Operations Manager (Planning) to ensure that all missions completed are closed with all documentations used for planning and execution by respective team member.

Qualifications
- Minimum 57 years of work experience in an Airline / Military operations environment of which a minimum 3 year experience must be as a flight dispatcher.
- University Degree or equivalent.
- Valid Flight dispatch license holder (Preferred)
- Recurrency and proficiency check must be current and valid all times
- ICAO level proficiency 4 for aviation language.
- DGR CAT 10 Trained would be preferred.
- Air Cargo Operations certifications desirable
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with a passion for developing others
- Strong communication skills in both written and oral
- Strong planning organizing and integration skills
- Strong knowledge in the development and implementation of policies & procedures
