Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Sr. Hook-up Engineer to lead discipline activities during offshore hook-up and completion campaigns.

You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, develop constructability plans, and ensure safe, timely execution on complex campaigns. With 10+ years in offshore engineering and strong API/ISO knowledge, you will mentor junior engineers, manage risk, and align with procurement, commissioning, and site operations to deliver projects with high quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years’ offshore engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of API/ISO standards and regulations for hook-up activities.
• Proficiency with project planning, scheduling, and tracking tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership to liaise with diverse teams.
• Proven ability to resolve technical challenges and drive improvements.
• Safety-focused with ability to manage risks and timelines.
• PM certifications (PMI) or related training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review hook-up job cards with prerequisites and sequencing.
• Develop WBS for discipline scope and review design MTOs.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure material readiness on site.
• Develop constructability plans for onshore and offshore projects.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with project management, procurement, and commissioning teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation for safety.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
