Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd in Dubai seeks an Associate Hook Up Engineer to apply existing Hook Up procedures to solve routine problems under guidance from senior engineers. You will support planning, field verifications, and readiness reviews for hook-up and commissioning activities within the EPCI sector.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compliance with HSE and QA policies, development of survey checklists, and contributing to continuous improvement of hook-up processes while ensuring alignment

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Process).
• 2–3 years of discipline-specific experience or industry experience.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and management system requirements.
• Familiarize with discipline codes of practice and standards and review job cards.
• Assist in planning, coordination and execution of hook-up and commissioning activities.
• Participate in readiness reviews, handovers and documentation reviews for proper completion.
• Develop survey checklists and contribute to site surveys for brown field scope.
• Provide support for Hook-Up Database Management System and SAP inputs.
• Review QA/QC requirements and prepare discipline-specific tools and equipment lists.
• Liaise with hook-up admin and P&E teams to ensure requirements are met.
