Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Hook Up Engineer to apply conceptual knowledge of Hook Up and solve straightforward problems with guidance. You will analyze solutions using standard procedures and contribute to the company, processes, and customers.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings for constructability, coordinating with disciplines, preparing hook up task sheets, ensuring schedules, and guiding field teams across onshore/offshore facilities in an EPCI environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant field).
• 6 years of offshore hook-up experience within the EPCI industry.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, IEC, NEC and related standards.
• Strong technical and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Leadership within own discipline and mentoring for trainees.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently or in a team.
• OSHA/HSE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement the Company’s policies and management system.
• Participate in field pre-engineering surveys and provide guidance.
• Review drawings for constructability and coordinate resolution.
• Review scope, schedules, specifications, and deliverables requirements.
• Develop and issue hook-up construction work packs and related docs.
• Coordinate hook-up activities with other disciplines and ensure schedules.
• Monitor scope changes and inputs to project control systems.
• Ensure engineering deliverables for hook-up execution are available.
• Prepare hook-up task sheets and review as appropriate.
• Travel to regional facilities to assist project team and coordinate execution.
