Job summary

American Hospital Dubai seeks an experienced Network Engineer to plan, design and deploy LAN/WAN infrastructure across the organization. You will install, monitor, and optimize network hardware and software to ensure high availability and secure connectivity.

The role requires CCNP and Fortinet/Cisco expertise, including firewall and VPN configurations, NAT, and security policy implementation. You will work with vendors, perform L2/L3 support, and drive network improvements to meet SLAs.

Qualifications

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise Certification
• Fortinet NSE Certifications
• Experience with Cisco ASA/Firewalls and Fortinet Firewalls
• Experience in VPN, NAT, VLAN, STP, OSPF/BGP

• Monitors all network devices, services, and servers for high availability and SLAs using SolarWinds and Fortinet Analyzer.

Job description

Ensures the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and Wireless network services. Oversees the planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. Participates in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communications. Analyzes and resolves network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provides end-user training where required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Huawei, FortiGate, Avaya, IBM, Cisco, HP, Nortel, and Dell network equipment.
• Oversees, maintains, and troubleshoots network and Internet connectivity throughout the organization.
• Develops, implements, and maintains corporate network and security policies.
• Supports IT Network Infrastructure, Security, Design, tests, and inspects data and Voice communications systems.
• Performs Local Area Network (LAN), Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), and internet-facing security scanning of mission-critical devices on the corporate and guest networks for potential vulnerabilities, and malicious programs and recommends appropriate actions.
• Monitors all network devices, services, and servers using a combination of tools SolarWinds and Fortinet Analyzer to ensure high availability and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Implements and publishes various types of Servers (WebServer, FTP Server, Email Server) using Network Address Translation (NAT) and Port Address Translation (PAT).
• Coordinates with users and vendors for new project implementations and existing network infrastructure support.
• Routes internet traffic through different connections using Policy-Based Routing (PBR) and Network Address Translation (NAT) for security purposes.
• Attends calls from the Help Desk for level 2 and level 3 support.
• Collects and reviews network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.
• Researches, evaluates, and recommends technologies to support business requirements.
• Evaluates, tests, and deploys all software and hardware upgrades to the networking infrastructure.
• Assists in the configuration and deployment of core and peripheral network devices, which will require continuous learning of new devices.
• Executes monthly change happened Backups of Network devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor'sDegreein Computer Science or a related field
• Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise Certificate (CCNP)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching Certificate (CCNP)
• Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation Certificate (EAIIC)
• Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core Certificate (ECC)
• Fortinet's Network Security Expert Certification (NSE-1)
• Fortinet's Network Security Expert Certification (NSE-2)
• Certified Network Security Specialist (CNSS)
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of experience in Network Administration/Engineering
• Skills in analysing business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework and Design Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and intranets.
• Knowledge of network technologies and architecture. In-depth knowledge of network security.
• Skills in making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs.
• Skills in configuring and maintaining Cisco ASA 5520 Firewalls, Fortinet Firewall l000D, S0lE and 3200D + Fortinet Analyzer.
• Skills in configuring Forti net 1000D,200E,401E,501E,600E,3000D
• Skills in Implementing and maintaining L2 technologies like VLANs, VTP, Trunking, EtherChannel, STP and inter-VLAN routing.
• Skills in configuring and maintaining Huawei/Cisco wireless LAN Controller 8500, AC6605-26-PWR and 500+ Huawei/Cisco Access Points.
• Skills in managing Antlabs HSIA Wi-Fi profiling device for wireless guest access and Huawei Agile controller for AD authentication.
• Skills in configuring and managing Perimeter and Internal firewall in redundant active mode for 100% Network availability
• Skills in configuring, managing, implementing, and troubleshooting multiple Protocols and Standards TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLAN, NAT, VPN, VTP, and STP.
• Skills in designing and implementing security policies using Access Control Lists (ACLs) for Internal and WAN communication.
• Skills in configuring IPSEC VPN Tunnel for Branch office connectivity and remote vendor management with 2 2-factor authentication.
• Skills in managing Fortinet 1000D,501E, and 3000D for URL filtering and Data Leakage prevention.
• Skills in designing, implementing, and supporting Avaya Communication Manager (CM) and IP phones.
• Skills in providing L2 and L3 network support as per client requirements.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
