The role requires hands-on expertise with routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and network monitoring. You will collaborate with IT teams to ensure resilient, scalable connectivity and high availability for mission-critical infrastructure.

Join a leading IT infrastructure and managed services organization in the UAE, supporting enterprise networking, data center connectivity, network security, and mission-critical IT infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer – Cisco, Routing & Switching, LAN/WAN, Firewalls & Network Infrastructure with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in enterprise networking, network administration, infrastructure troubleshooting, and network operations.

This is a hands-on technical engineering role, responsible for configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Routing & Switching, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Network Security, Firewalls, VPN, Network Troubleshooting, and Enterprise Network Operations, with exposure to leading networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and support Enterprise Network Infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network connectivity solutions.
• Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and Network Communication Protocols.
• Configure and maintain Routing Protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and static routing.
• Support Network Security Infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, access control lists, and secure network connectivity.
• Monitor Network Performance, Availability, Bandwidth Utilization, and Infrastructure Health.
• Troubleshoot network outages, connectivity issues, routing problems, and network performance bottlenecks.
• Support network configuration changes, firmware upgrades, patching, maintenance, and infrastructure migrations.
• Implement and maintain network redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery connectivity.
• Collaborate with systems, storage, virtualization, cybersecurity, and IT support teams.
• Maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, configuration backups, and operational procedures.
• Support incident management, problem management, change management, and service restoration activities.

Required Experience

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Network Engineering, Network Infrastructure, Enterprise Networking, or Network Administration.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Routing & Switching, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, and Network Troubleshooting.
• Experience configuring and managing enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, VLANs, STP, Trunking, and Network Segmentation.
• Experience supporting Enterprise Firewalls, Network Security Policies, VPN Connectivity, and Access Control.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, NAT, TCP/IP, and Network Infrastructure Services.
• Experience with Network Monitoring, Performance Optimization, Incident Troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong understanding of Network Redundancy, High Availability, Failover, and Business Continuity.
• Relevant technical networking certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent vendor certifications.
• Strong communication, technical documentation, and infrastructure support skills.

Preferred Experience

• Professional-level certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CCIE, Juniper JNCIP, or equivalent.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with Data Center Networking, SD-WAN, Wireless Networking, or Network Automation.
• Knowledge of Network Monitoring Tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks, mission-critical infrastructure, or managed IT services environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL, Incident Management, Change Management, and Network Security Best Practices.

Work Setup

• Location: Abu Dhabi or Dubai, UAE
• Role: Senior Network Engineer – Routing & Switching, LAN/WAN & Network Infrastructure
• Work Arrangement: Full onsite – 5 days per week
• Candidate Location: Must be based in the UAE
• Contract Duration: 12 months
