• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
• Certifications like CCNA/CCNP are a plus.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivatedNetwork Engineerto design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, troubleshooting, and optimization, with a focus on ensuring high availability, security, and performance of network systems. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design and Implementation
   1. Design, configure, and deploy LANs, WANs, WLANs, and other network infrastructure to meet business requirements.
   1. Implement and manage network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
   1. Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to support organizational growth.
2. Network Maintenance and Support
   1. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
   1. Perform regular maintenance, including firmware updates, patch management, and hardware replacements.
   1. Diagnose and resolve network‑related issues, including connectivity, latency, and security problems.
3. Network Security
   1. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
   1. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
   1. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS, GDPR).
4. Performance Optimization
   1. Analyze network traffic and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize network performance.
   1. Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize critical applications and services.
   1. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance network efficiency and scalability.

• Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions for management review.
  • Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.
• Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support network‑related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end‑users and other IT staff.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering or administration.
  • Hands‑on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto) and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and unified communications systems.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
• Certifications(Preferred):
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • CompTIA Network+, Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA), or equivalent.
  • Certifications in network security (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
• Soft Skills
