Job summary

Al Rostamani Group of Companies LLC invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor role within Emirates Electrical Engineering. The QS Engineer will manage all costs related to construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring value for money and adherence to contracts.

The role requires preparing estimates, budgets, and tender documents, tracking variances, and reporting financial performance to project stakeholders in a fast-paced environment within the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or related field.
• MRICS, RICS or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of quantity surveying experience in construction (commercial/residential).
• Experience with cost estimation tools and Excel for reporting.
• Experience in managing variations, change orders, and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and historical data.
• Conduct cost analysis and prepare initial budgets for new construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to determine cost-effective construction methods while maintaining quality.
• Develop and maintain cost control procedures, including forecasting and tracking costs against budget.
• Monitor ongoing project costs, review contractor invoices, and manage variations and final accounts.
• Prepare regular cost reports and financial forecasts highlighting risks to budget/timeline.
• Maintain records of expenses including materials, labor, and subcontractor invoices.
• Communicate impacts of cost changes to stakeholders and ensure contract compliance.
