Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead MEP works on a Dubai project. The candidate will supervise, coordinate and ensure delivery of HVAC, plumbing and firefighting systems in line with drawings and specs.

Required is a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with at least 6+ years in MEP contracting and building projects, strong communication, and the ability to manage site activities effectively. UAE/GCC knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant MEP experience mandatory.
• Strong experience in MEP contracting and building projects.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and mechanical services.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specs.
• Experience in site supervision, coordination, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of UAE/GCC construction practices and standards.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage mechanical MEP works at the project site.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical services with project requirements.
• Review and understand approved shop drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, civil, architectural, and other MEP disciplines.
• Monitor site activities and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams.
• Conduct inspections and ensure proper quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor project progress and report site issues, delays, and requirements to the Project Manager.
• Prepare and review material requests, inspection requests, and other project-related documentation.
• Ensure proper installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
• Identify technical issues and coordinate with the relevant team for timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and company procedures.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants and other stakeholders.
• Maintain proper records of site activities, inspections, testing, and commissioning.
