EDGE in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Engineer - Mechatronics for Halcon to design, develop, integrate, and deploy advanced electronic test equipment and automated test solutions for defence and aerospace systems.

The role bridges product development and production by delivering hardware and software test interfaces, leading mechatronics projects, and mentoring juniors while promoting best practices in testing, validation, and systems integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics, Computer, or Mechatronics engineering.
12 years (Bachelor) or 8 years (Master) of relevant experience in electronics, aerospace, defence, or test equipment development environments.
Strong electronics design, embedded systems, and test equipment experience.
Experience with MCUs, FPGAs, firmware, and automated test systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain electronic test equipment, test jigs, and automated test solutions for PCB assemblies, subassemblies, and subsystem-level testing.
Develop firmware and software applications using multiple programming languages and development tools to support test automation and product validation.
Interpret technical specifications, ICDs, and test requirements to create effective hardware and software test interfaces.
Lead and support mechatronics projects, participate in design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices in testing, validation, and systems integration.
