Job summary
EDGE Group in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Senior Engineer - Mechatronics for Halcon to design, develop, integrate, and deploy advanced electronic test equipment and automated test solutions for defence and aerospace systems.
The successful candidate will bridge product development and production by creating hardware, firmware, and software test interfaces that ensure quality, validation, and qualification compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in electronics/defence/test equipment environments.
- Strong experience in electronics design, embedded systems, and hardware/software integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain electronic test equipment and automated test solutions for PCB assemblies.
- Develop firmware and software to support test automation and product validation.
- Interpret ICDs and test requirements to create effective hardware and software interfaces.
- Lead mechatronics projects, review designs, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices.
