Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Engineer - Mechatronics for Halcon to design and deploy advanced electronic test equipment for defence and aerospace applications.

You will bridge product development and production, developing hardware, firmware, and test solutions that ensure quality, validation, and qualification. You will lead projects, mentor juniors, and promote testing excellence across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• 12 years (Bachelor) or 8 years (Master) of relevant experience in electronics, aerospace, defence, or test equipment environments.
• Strong experience in electronics design, embedded systems, test equipment development, and hardware/software integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electronic test equipment, test jigs, and automated test solutions for PCB assemblies and subsystems.
• Develop firmware and software applications to support test automation and validation.
• Interpret specifications and ICDs to create effective hardware and software test interfaces.
• Lead and mentor mechatronics projects and promote best practices in testing and integration.
