Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd is looking for a skilled Mechanical Inspector in Dubai to join the Water and Infrastructure supervision team for Sewage Treatment Plant projects. This role involves ensuring quality compliance and safety across mechanical and electrical works.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 7 years of relevant experience, and strong understanding of pumping and HVAC systems. AECOM offers the chance to work on essential municipal projects that support Dubai's sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of mechanical inspection experience, preferably in STP or wastewater treatment projects.
• Strong understanding of pumping systems, piping networks, HVAC, and control systems.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections for STP mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure all installations meet approved drawings and safety protocols.
• Monitor equipment installation, alignment, and testing activities.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer to resolve construction issues.
• Prepare daily inspection and progress reports.
• Identify and report non-conformances or deviations.
• Support FAT/SAT and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections and system performance.
