Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd in Dubai is looking for a Materials Inspector to support sewage treatment projects. This role involves ensuring all materials and installation activities comply with approved specifications and quality standards.

Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in materials testing and inspections. The position offers the opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects across Dubai.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory materials testing and field inspection of construction materials.
• Strong experience in STP, roads, NDRC, stormwater, sewerage lines, pump stations, and irrigation projects.
• Middle East experience is preferred, especially within UAE infrastructure projects.
• DCL approval is preferred for technical and authority alignment.
• Strong understanding of QA, QC, and material compliance procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in active construction environments with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions before construction to ensure compliance with designs.
• Check for obstructions and document existing utilities that may be affected.
• Review delivered materials for compliance with approved specifications.
• Report material discrepancies or non-conformities to the Resident Engineer.
• Verify proper handling of critical STP components.
• Inspect works to confirm compliance with drawings and contract requirements.
• Maintain daily inspection logs and progress records.
• Monitor safety compliance and report hazards promptly.
