Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd is seeking an Inspector - Materials STP in Dubai, responsible for verifying materials and ensuring compliance with quality standards in sewage treatment plant projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in material inspection, particularly in STP or water infrastructure projects, and will contribute to essential infrastructure development in the region.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in material inspection within STP or water infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of international standards such as BS, ASTM, and Dubai Municipality regulations.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure and wastewater treatment projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions before construction activities and confirm readiness for STP works.
• Identify potential obstructions and document existing utilities and infrastructure.
• Ensure protection measures are in place for existing facilities and surrounding assets.
• Review materials and equipment delivered to site for compliance with approved specifications.
• Verify proper storage and handling of materials including valves, piping, and mechanical components.
• Inspect construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure alignment with approved drawings.
• Maintain daily logs, inspection records, and testing documentation as per project procedures.
• Monitor site safety compliance and report any hazards or concerns.
• Assist in final inspections, punch lists, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Review RFIs and material-related variation requests, providing technical recommendations.
