Job summary

SteerAI in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of vehicle components and subsystems across the full product lifecycle. You will coordinate external design partners and lead defined work packages in a fast-moving environment.

You will collaborate with systems, electrical, software, manufacturing, procurement, test, and quality teams to deliver safe, robust, and maintainable vehicle solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical design and product development experience in vehicle/off-highway domains.
• Strong 3D CAD capabilities and experience with SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design and development of vehicle components, assemblies, and subsystems from concept through design release and product improvement.
• Translate requirements into mechanical definitions, interfaces, 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing specs.
• Lead external design partners, review outputs, and ensure delivery meets quality, schedule, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with vehicle architecture and product baseline.
• Guide prototyping, testing, validation, and root-cause analyses; support DFMEA and verification plans.
