Job summary

SteerAI in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer to integrate autonomy software and commission vehicle platforms for internal trials and customer deployments. You will drive end-to-end testing, document results, and support field operations with the engineering team.

The role requires hands-on experience with autonomous systems, sensor suites, and safety-focused procedures; you will contribute to operational insight briefs and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical, systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in systems integration, test and evaluation, commissioning, or operations in defence/aerospace/robotics.
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle systems and sensor suites (cameras, GNSS, IMU, lidar/radar).
• Willingness to work in outdoor field environments in various weather conditions.
• Proficient in software integration workflows: flashing firmware, deploying configuration packages, tests.
• Experience with DT&E/OT&E evaluation frameworks.
• Strong technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Software integration across platforms and verify builds against release notes.
• Lead end-to-end vehicle commissioning and health checks.
• Plan and execute test procedures with safety boundaries.
• Create user manuals, training materials, and test reports.
• Field deployment prep and troubleshooting with engineers.
• Operate UGV/C2 interfaces and monitor telemetry.
