Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Chief Technician - Mechanical Design for Halcon to lead mechanical design, analysis, testing support, product development, and lifecycle management of airframes and launcher platforms. Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in aerospace/defense/high-technology engineering environments.
• Strong proficiency in CAD systems, PDM, and mechanical design methodologies.
• Proven experience in mechanical equipment development, manufacturing support, testing and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities across the full product lifecycle, from concept to production and in-service support.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design verification using theory and simulations.
• Develop test specifications, procedures, and validation activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
