Job summary

EDGE, a leading UAE-based technology group, seeks a Principal Engineer - Mechanical Design for Halcon to drive advanced aerospace/defense mechanical design through all lifecycle stages. You will lead conceptual and detailed design, analyses, testing, and manufacturing support, while mentoring engineers and ensuring robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will contribute to multidisciplinary programs, oversee technical evaluations, and guide design documentation to meet rigorous performance

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 12 years (Bachelor's), 10 years (Master's), or 9 years (PhD) of relevant mechanical design experience, preferably in aerospace/defense.
Strong expertise in CAD systems, PDM, engineering analysis, and mechanical design methodologies.
Experience in product development, testing, manufacturing support, and performance evaluation of complex mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and development activities across the complete product lifecycle from concept through production and support.
Perform engineering calculations, simulations, design analyses, and technical evaluations to ensure performance requirements.
Develop and review design documentation, engineering changes, test specifications, and verification activities.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership while supporting multidisciplinary development programs.
