Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd. is seeking an experienced Material Engineer for major water and wastewater projects in Dubai. This role involves reviewing and approving materials, ensuring compliance with specifications, and supporting quality assurance during design and construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in material engineering for infrastructure projects.
• Must hold Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) approval.
• Strong understanding of authority standards (DM, DEWA, RTA) and UAE construction practices.
• Proven ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and inspection teams.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve material submittals, test reports, and contractor proposals.
• Conduct regular inspections of material deliveries.
• Attend supplier and factory inspections.
• Supervise on-site material testing and liaise with accredited laboratories.
• Maintain records of material test results and approval status.
• Support Resident Engineer in monitoring project materials.
• Evaluate contractor's methods and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
