Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East seeks a highly experienced Consultant Transplant Surgeon to join its Dubai-based team, with a focus on liver and multi-organ transplantation and complex hepatobiliary procedures within a high-volume program.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years post-fellowship experience, leading multidisciplinary teams and a track record in living and deceased donor liver transplantation, including perioperative management and organ procurement collaboration.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency.
• Fellowship training in Abdominal Organ Transplant Surgery, Liver Transplant Surgery, or Hepatobiliary Surgery.
• Fellowship or Board Certification in Transplant Surgery is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate liver transplant candidates and participate in multidisciplinary transplant selection decisions.
• Review patient history, liver disease severity, imaging, labs, comorbidities and surgical risk.
• Perform living donor liver transplantation and deceased donor liver transplantation.
• Participate in kidney, pancreas, and other abdominal organ transplant procedures when required.
• Coordinate donor organ assessment and procurement with procurement teams.
• Provide consultant-level on-call coverage for transplant emergencies and organ offers.
