Job summary

Vanderlande Industries GmbH seeks a Project Lead Engineer – Steelworks (BHS Platforms & Walkways) in Dubai to lead engineering delivery for BHS steel structures, including platforms, walkways, and access structures. You will coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, compliant delivery through design, fabrication, installation and handover.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering with at least 5 years in steel structures within large-scale environments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 10+ years total engineering experience in structural, civil, mechanical, industrial, or infrastructure environments.
• Minimum 5 years in steel structures, industrial systems, airport infrastructure, or large-scale projects.
• Experience leading engineering activities for complex steelworks projects.
• Strong understanding of structural design, fabrication, and installation methodologies.
• Knowledge of relevant design codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with quality, schedule, cost, scope, and resources.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as required by project needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering delivery of steelworks packages, including BHS platforms, walkways, support structures, stairways, handrails, and related components.
• Manage projects from detailed design through fabrication, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure designs meet safety, maintenance, and accessibility requirements.
• Oversee integration of steelworks with baggage handling equipment and interfaces.
• Support constructability reviews and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international design codes.
