Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Project Manager – Steel to oversee end-to-end execution of steel structure projects, including HOT ROLLED and PEB structures. You will plan, coordinate and control costs while ensuring safety and quality compliance, working with clients and authorities as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Civil or Mechanical Engineering background with 12+ years of heavy steel project management experience, and familiarity with UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 12+ years of experience in steel structure project management.
• Experience handling large-scale steel projects.
• UAE project experience preferred.

We are hiring for Project Manager – Steel to oversee and manage end-to-end execution of steel structure projects including Hot Rolled and PEB structures. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordination, cost control, and successful delivery of projects while ensuring compliance with contractual, quality, and safety standards. Strong leadership, client management, and technical knowledge of steel construction are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full lifecycle of steel structure projects from award to handover.

• Plan project schedules, manpower, equipment, and material requirements.

• Review contract documents, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

• Coordinate with design, fabrication, procurement, and site execution teams.

• Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion within budget.

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities for approvals and coordination.

• Control project costs, variations, claims, and change orders.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and HSE regulations.

• Conduct regular project review meetings and submit progress reports.

• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

• Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on project payments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in steel structure project management.

• Proven experience handling large-scale steel projects.

• UAE project experience is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and construction processes.

• Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval procedures.

• Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera and MS Office.

• PMP certification is an added advantage.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
