Job summary

Inhabit is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to lead and coordinate structural activities for facilities and bridge-related projects in the UAE. You will manage inspections, assess repairs, and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and PLC/SCADA engineers to ensure integrated solutions.

The role requires extensive experience in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and marine structures, with strong reporting, coordination, and site execution capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8 years of overall structural engineering experience.
• Minimum 4 years of practical experience in bridge, marine, infrastructure or heavy structural‑steel projects.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed structural inspections of steel bridge elements, box girders, pontoons, machinery pits, concrete structures, access platforms, ladders, supports and associated bridge components.
• Identify structural defects, deterioration, corrosion, cracking, deformation, water leakage, coating failures, concrete spalling and other maintenance-related issues.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical assessments, condition reports and repair recommendations.
• Develop and review repair methodologies for structural steel, reinforced concrete, bridge components and marine structures.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection and test plans, risk assessments and technical calculations.
