Job summary

Client of CS & Clarks in Dubai seeks an experienced Design Manager specializing in steel structures to lead our design team from concept to construction. You will drive design strategies, supervise engineers and drafters, ensure compliance with codes, and coordinate with clients and project managers to deliver high-quality, on-time solutions.

The role demands strong leadership, extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla Structures, and a track record of delivering complex steel projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years in steel structures design; 3+ years in leadership.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures and related engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team across engineers and architects.
• Oversee steel structures design to meet standards and client specs.
• Develop design strategies, workflows and processes to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and project managers.
• Review and approve design documents, drawings and specifications.
• Mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations and bids for design capabilities.
