Archirodon in the UAE is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee multidiscipline engineering and manage structural steel erection on a major Oil & Gas EPC brownfield project. You will lead site activities, ensure erection quality, and coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, and construction teams.
The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience, including 3 years on industrial sites in Oil & Gas or similar sectors, and a Brownfield background is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of overall engineering/construction experience.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial site experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Power Construction.
- Proven experience in structural steel erection, bolted connections and primary/secondary steel structures.
- Brownfield project experience will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage structural steel erection activities.
- Coordinate daily site activities with construction teams, subcontractors, engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and project management.
- Ensure structural steel installation per approved GA, erection, shop, connection drawings, MTOs and bolt schedules.
- Monitor bolted connections, alignment, leveling, bolt tightening, and erection quality.
- Review drawings and documents and coordinate for discrepancies.
- Conduct site inspections with QA/QC for compliance.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and progress; prepare reports.
- Coordinate lifting with the lifting team and follow lifting plans.
