Job summary

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to deliver high-quality end-user support and manage server applications. The role includes training staff, maintaining AV systems, and ensuring security compliance.

The incumbent will handle tickets, support events, and contribute to projects within a diverse cultural environment. Required is a Bachelor’s degree in IT related field, ITIL v3, and strong English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or IT.
• ITIL V3 certification is required; other vendor certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level tech support to learners, staff and faculty in person or remotely.
• Administer servers and applications; monitor system health and perform maintenance.
• Log, track, and close support tickets with timely follow-up.
• Support events requiring technical setup and testing.
• Provide training on technical topics as needed.
• Maintain hardware and software assets inventory.
• Assist with end-user testing to detect defects and issues.
• Adhere to information security policies and safety regulations.
