Job summary

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to deliver high-quality support to learners, staff and faculty in Dubai. You will provide first-level assistance, handle tickets, and assist with event setups while coordinating with the IS team.

Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to learners, staff, and faculty face to face or remotely using appropriate remote support and communication tools. Timely and proper logging, follow up and closure of technical support tickets.
Provide technical support for events organized by HBMSU, including requirements collection, preparation, testing, and support.
Administration of servers and applications the department may own (e.g. Active Directory, Antivirus, backup system, Print server, etc.).
Regularly maintain hardware/software assets inventory.
Monitor and maintain audio and video systems; check health and take corrective actions.
Provide technical trainings as required
Provide hardware and software support for desktops and end-user devices like printers and scanners.
End-user testing of various applications and systems; track results, errors, or bugs with other AIT sections.
Contribute to special projects and document deliverables as needed.
Report information security incidents to line manager and AIT ISM.
Adhere to information security and health and safety policies.
Handle other responsibilities assigned by line manager.
