About Your Team

Our IT team is dedicated to delivering a seamless and exceptional technology experience for senior leadership. Led by the Executive Support function, we provide proactive, white glove support to C level executives and key stakeholders, ensuring they stay connected, productive, and secure. Through trusted partnerships, rapid problem resolution, and a commitment to service excellence, we enable our leaders to focus on driving the business forward with confidence.

Your Role

As an IT Engineer – Senior, you will

• Builds trusted working relationships with executives, their executive assistants and their offices, acting as their single point of contact for all IT matters.
• Advises executives on the effective use of technology, recommends tools and improvements that suit how they work, and coaches them in their use.
• Manages executive expectations with confidence, explaining options, risks and timescales in plain language, and holds firm, with tact, where a request conflicts with security or policy.
• Delivers immediate and proactive assistance for all IT-related issues (devices, connectivity, applications and accounts), minimising disruption for executives and their executive assistants.
• Takes ownership of urgent and high-visibility executive issues through to resolution, including outside normal working hours where required, and keeps executives informed with calm, clear and regular updates.
• Holds regular check-ins with executives and their assistants on preferences, pain points and upcoming needs, and keeps an up-to-date record of each executive’s devices, access and support requirements.
• Manages the full lifecycle of executive laptops, mobile devices, tablets and peripherals, from setup and updates to replacement, with proactive health checks and configured spares for immediate swap-out.
• Supports executive assistants with delegated mailbox and calendar access, meeting scheduling and the collaboration tools they use on behalf of executives.
• Prepares executives for travel and remote working, including device checks, secure remote access and connectivity, and supports them remotely while they are away.
• Ensures executive meetings, board meetings and high-profile events run without technical disruption, including boardroom and video conferencing technology, with in-person support where required.
• Protects executive accounts, devices and data with enhanced security controls and strict discretion, and works with the Cybersecurity team on phishing, account compromise and lost or stolen devices.
• Develops and maintains executive support standards, procedures and knowledge articles, and reports on service quality and recurring issues to IT management.
• Coaches Service Desk engineers to provide trained cover for executive support during leave, absence and peak demand.
• Acts as a senior escalation point for the Service Desk, resolving complex end-user and Microsoft 365 issues and contributing to the general queue during peak periods.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties and/or responsibilities as required by management, to meet the needs of the business.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong executive presence and a polished, professional manner, with the confidence and credibility to engage C-level executives and board members directly and hold their own in demanding conversations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to senior non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
• Composure and sound judgement under pressure, with the ability to work independently and priorities competing executive demands.
• High emotional intelligence and a service mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs and build lasting relationships with executives and their assistants.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling executive information and environments.
• Expert troubleshooting of IT software, hardware and connectivity issues across end-user and infrastructure environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive), Entra ID and Intune, including Windows, iOS and Android device management.
• Working knowledge of meeting room and video conferencing technology (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Barco ClickShare, Yealink, MAXHUB).
• Ability to coach other engineers and write clear procedures and knowledge articles.
• Experience supporting a CEO, board members or an executive office in a large organisation.
• Experience supporting macOS alongside Windows.
• Microsoft 365 certifications, such as endpoint or Teams administration.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or
• 7+ years in an end-user support or IT operations role, including at least 3 years supporting C-level or VIP users
• Proven experience with Microsoft 365 and modern device management in an enterprise environment
