Job summary

United Arab Emirates University is seeking an experienced Investment Director to lead the university's non-government income growth through strategic asset allocation and disciplined portfolio management.

The role requires deep knowledge of investment instruments, rigorous due diligence, and the ability to present clear recommendations to executive leadership and the Board. You will collaborate with finance, legal, and strategy teams to ensure governance, compliance, and capital protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration (Master’s or CFA preferred).
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in investment management or corporate finance.
• Strong knowledge of investment instruments, portfolio management, risk management, and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement short- and long-term investment strategies to increase income.
• Identify and evaluate income-generating opportunities across asset classes.
• Manage short-term investments to optimize liquidity and returns.
• Develop long-term investments to support financial sustainability and growth.
• Perform financial analysis, feasibility studies, due diligence, and risk assessments.
• Recommend asset allocation, diversification, and rebalancing strategies.
• Monitor portfolio performance against targets and benchmarks.
• Present opportunities and risk assessments to executive leadership and the Board.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, strategy, and other functions to implement investments.
• Monitor markets and adjust recommendations proactively.
