Job Description

• Develop and implement short- and long-term investment strategies that increase the university’s non-government income.
• Identify and evaluate income-generating investment opportunities across suitable asset classes, including fixed income, equities, real estate, private equity, and investment partnerships.
• Manage short-term investments to optimize returns while maintaining sufficient liquidity for the university’s operational requirements.
• Develop long-term investment opportunities that support financial sustainability and capital growth.
• Conduct financial analysis, feasibility studies, due diligence, and risk assessments for proposed investments.
• Recommend appropriate asset allocation, diversification, and portfolio rebalancing strategies.
• Monitor portfolio performance against approved targets and benchmarks and recommend corrective actions when required.
• Identify and evaluate qualified fund managers, investment advisors, and strategic partners.
• Establish investment policies and controls to ensure sound governance, compliance, transparency, and capital protection.
• Prepare regular reports and present investment opportunities, performance results, and risk assessments to executive leadership and the Board of Trustees.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, strategy, and other relevant functions to implement approved investments.
• Monitor financial markets and emerging opportunities and proactively adjust investment recommendations.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or CFA preferred).

Expected Skills

• Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in investment management or corporate finance.

• Experience in institutional, endowment, sovereign, or university investment environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
