Job summary
Wood in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineering leader to oversee and coordinate all I&C activities on major projects. Qualifications
- Experience overseeing I&C engineering activities on large projects.
- Ability to provide technical leadership across project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of functional safety, SIL studies, and process safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure I&C activities comply with project specs, client requirements, international codes and industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership of instrumentation, automation, and control system design throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee design, integration, installation, testing, and commissioning of control systems (DCS, PLC, ESD, SCADA, F&G).
- Monitor EPC contractor performance and ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Support safe plant operations with robust control, monitoring, and safety instrumented systems.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for seamless I&C integration.
- Minimize technical risks and resolve issues during design, construction and commissioning.
- Maintain quality, cost-effectiveness, and schedule adherence.
- Review and approve technical documents and vendor packages.
