Job summary

Wood is seeking a senior Instrumentation Engineer in Abu Dhabi to provide specialist instrumentation guidance through the project lifecycle. You will review contractor deliverables, ensure equipment safety and reliability, and coordinate with EPC teams to resolve technical issues and maintain schedules.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in oil & gas and a strong command of international codes, instrument design, and process control philosophies.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Instrument, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience.
Knowledge of international codes and standards.
Proficiency with engineering software and general business software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and technical team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist instrumentation and control engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and approve contractor engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specs and standards.
Ensure integrity, reliability, safety, and operability of process control and field instrumentation systems.
Develop and implement control philosophies, instrument specs, cause-and-effect charts.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
