Job summary

Wood is seeking a seniorInstrumentation Engineer in Abu Dhabi to provide specialist guidance across the project lifecycle, ensuring design integrity and compliance with ADNOC standards. You will review contractor deliverables and collaborate with EPC contractors, IPMT, and operations to address technical issues and drive safe, reliable instrumentation solutions.

The role demands deep knowledge of process control, shutdown, monitoring, and field instrumentation systems, with a focus on quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist instrumentation and control engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve contractor engineering deliverables for compliance with project specs and standards.
• Ensure integrity, reliability, safety, and operability of process control and field instrumentation systems.
• Support development and implementation of control philosophies, instrument specs, and cause‑and‑effect charts.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to align with objectives and schedules.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and mitigate risks.
