Job summary

POWERCHINA JEPCC in Dubai seeks experienced Electrical Primary Design Engineer with hands-on experience in 132kV-400kV AIS/GIS substations. The role focuses on primary design and detailed engineering for HV/EHV projects across the Middle East & Africa.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical/Power Engineering and at least 5 years of HV/MV/EHV substation design, AIS/GIS layouts, and proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and coordination with multi-discipline teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on HV/MV/EHV substation primary design.
• Strong AIS/GIS substation layout experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary electrical design for HV/EHV AIS/GIS substations.
• Prepare SLDs, GA drawings, equipment layouts and busbar arrangements.
• Conduct earthing, lightning protection and cable sizing calculations.
• Coordinate with secondary electrical, SCADA, telecom and civil teams.
