Job summary

BG Group UAE is seeking an HSE Officer to implement health, safety and environmental standards across project sites in the UAE. You will support project teams by identifying risks, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in UAE construction.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety practices.
• NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent HSE certification is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence and own vehicle is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor BG Group HSE policies, procedures and site safety requirements in accordance with UAE HSE laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and toolbox talks; identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Prepare, review and monitor Risk Assessments, RAMS and JSA/JHA for construction activities and ensure safe working practices.
• Monitor high-risk activities (work at height, lifting, scaffolding, excavation, hot work, electrical work, confined spaces) and ensure controls and PPE.
• Investigate accidents/incidents/near misses, identify root causes and report with preventive actions.
• Monitor subcontractor and worker compliance with HSE requirements and coordinate with site team to resolve issues.
