Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned HPC Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our high‑performance computing environment used for CFD and FEA workloads. You will handle infrastructure, schedulers, user support, performance tuning, and capacity planning amidst a fast-growing tech group.

The role requires strong Linux administration, extensive experience with HPC schedulers, and hands-on familiarity with engineering simulation tools. Expect a high‑impact, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
• 3–7 years of Linux-based HPC cluster administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Slurm, PBS, LSF or Grid Engine schedulers.
• Experience with MPI, OpenMP and distributed computing.
• Familiarity with CFD/FEA solvers and engineering workflows.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience with high‑speed networking and parallel file systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage compute and login nodes, NAS storage, and InfiniBand networks.
• Configure and tune job schedulers and resource policies.
• Maintain HPC security, backups, and audit readiness.
• Install and manage engineering solvers like ANSYS/NASTRAN.
• Optimize compiler, MPI libraries, and GPU drivers for CFD/FEA workloads.
• Provide user support and training for HPC users.
• Plan capacity, performance benchmarking, and future expansion.
