Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled HPC Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our high‑performance computing environment used for CFD and FEA workloads. You will oversee infrastructure, scheduler management, user support, and long‑term capacity planning.

We require strong Linux administration, expert knowledge of HPC schedulers, and hands‑on experience with engineering solvers and parallel file systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience administering Linux-based HPC clusters.
• Strong knowledge of HPC schedulers (Slurm/PBS/LSF).
• Experience with MPI, OpenMP, and distributed computing.
• Familiarity with CFD/FEA solvers and engineering workflows.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).
• Experience with high-speed networking and parallel file systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer compute nodes, login nodes, NAS storage, and InfiniBand interconnects.
• Configure and tune job schedulers (Slurm, PBS, LSF, Grid Engine).
• Ensure secure access, MFA, and compliance with IT governance.
• Install, update, and manage licenses for engineering solvers (ANSYS, Siemens, NASTRAN).
• Monitor HPC performance and tune for CFD/FEA workloads.
• Provide user support, scripting help, and training.
• Manage storage quotas and data lifecycle on parallel file systems.
• Plan capacity and future growth; evaluate new hardware.
