Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior FEA Engineer to perform static, dynamic, modal, and thermal analyses for mechanical and vehicle systems, ensuring structural integrity and design optimization. You will collaborate with design teams, define load cases, run simulations in ANSYS or equivalent CAE, interpret results, and present recommendations during design reviews.

A Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics and 10+ years of hands-on FEA experience are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics required.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant engineering experience with strong FEA/structural-analysis expertise.
• Experience in automotive/defense/heavy-vehicle domains is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency with ANSYS or equivalent CAE software is essential.
• Experience with CAD/PLM tools such as Creo/Windchill and 3D scanning tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Engineers and Design teams to define analysis requirements, load cases and acceptance criteria.
• Perform static, dynamic, modal/vibration and thermal/thermo-mechanical analyses.
• Conduct fatigue, buckling and nonlinear/contact analyses.
• Define boundary conditions, materials, contacts, meshing, and convergence criteria.
• Prepare analysis reports and present recommendations during design reviews.
• Correlate FEA results with physical testing and support prototype validation.
• Support design optimization, weight reduction, and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 31000 and ISO 45001 related processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of company information.
