Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking an AVP, Financial Control to support the implementation and monitoring of financial control policies across the Group. The role emphasizes balance sheet substantiation, compliance with policy standards, and timely issue resolution.

The candidate will oversee Account Ownership and Verification, internal controls, GL mapping, and reporting to senior management, with a focus on strengthening the control environment and data accuracy in the OneFC tool.

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification (Preferably ACA, CPA, ACCA)
• Banking or Finance Degree.
• 5-7 years of experience across accounting and internal controls; good understanding of IFRS/IAS.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with financial control policies across the Group (AOV, IAR, GL mapping).
• Oversee governance activities to ensure balance sheet integrity.
• Prepare monthly AOV pack and update risk inventories.
• Coordinate monthly AOV across the Group and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Assist with implementation of financial control policies and conduct conformance testing.
