Job summary

Nameless Ventures seeks a Senior Executive Officer- Payments in Dubai to lead licensing, launch and early-scale growth for a regulated DIFC entity.

You will drive DFSA authorisation, governance and compliance programs, build the UAE leadership team and manage key banking and payments partnerships.

Reporting to the Board, you will balance commercial growth with regulatory requirements and customer protection in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience in payments/FinTech with P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record of regulatory licensing and launching regulated businesses.
• Strong governance, AML, risk and compliance knowledge.
• Experience with DFSA, CBUAE, SAMA or similar regulators is highly desirable.
• Ability to build and scale UAE leadership teams in early-stage setups.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFSA authorisation and controlled launch for licensed DIFC entity.
• Oversee day-to-day commercial and operational performance.
• Manage key external relationships with banks, card schemes, processors, and technology partners.
• Establish governance and compliance controls across the business.

Job description

SENIOR EXECUTIVE OFFICER- PAYMENTS- DUBAI:

We are partnering exclusively with one of the fastest growing FinTech businesses in the MENA region!

The business are looking to appoint a Senior Executive Officer to lead through licensing, launch and subsequent growth.

About the Role:

• Hold overall executive responsibility for the regulated DIFC entity, reporting directly to the Board
• Lead the business through DFSA authorisation, controlled launch and early-stage growth
• Act as a key senior point of contact with the DFSA
• Execute the company's business plan and oversee day-to-day commercial and operational performance
• Build and lead the initial UAE leadership team as the business scales
• Oversee governance, compliance, AML, risk, capital, liquidity and operational controls
• Manage key external relationships including banking, payment, card scheme, processing and technology partners
• Establish a strong culture balancing commercial growth, regulatory compliance and customer protection.

Role Requirements:

• Significant senior leadership experience within payments, FinTech, e-money, banking or regulated financial services
• Previous CEO, Managing Director, General Manager, Country Head or equivalent experience with P&L responsibility
• Strong experience working directly with DFSA, CBUAE, SAMA, FSRA or another comparable financial regulator
• Regulatory authorisation/licensing and regulated business launch experience highly desirable
• Strong understanding of governance, AML, risk, compliance and prudential requirements
• Experience across cards, issuing, acquiring, payment accounts, processing, safeguarding or money services.
• Comfortable operating hands-on within an early-stage environment and building teams/functions from the ground up.

Additional Information:

• Salary: 50,000 AED – 80,000 AED per month + a a 10% performance related bonus.
• Location: Dubai, 5 days per week in the office.
