Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) seeks a Senior Estimator to develop and finalize utility-scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System estimates.

You’ll collaborate with Estimating, Preconstruction, PM, Purchasing, and Engineering teams, reporting to the Chief Estimator - Energy, and handle self-perform and subcontracted scopes. You will review RFQs, craft designs, perform take-offs, and evaluate subcontractor pricing while leading take-off efficiencies and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of estimating experience in solar PV and managing subcontracts.
• Experience with design/build and Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC).
• Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels and types of estimating, planning, scheduling and cost engineering project activities.
• Accurately perform material quantity take-off of all renewable energy projects.
• Manage vendor relationships, RFQs and evaluation of vendor pricing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and material vendors.
• Manage subcontractor database.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor pricing; reconcile scopes of work.
