Job summary

Fichtner seeks an experienced PV Electrical Construction Manager for Owner's Engineer responsibilities in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees electrical construction, testing and commissioning of utility-scale PV facilities on-site, coordinating a team of inspectors and ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of experience, strong English communication skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 15+ years of professional experience required.
• Ability to work on-site and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Good knowledge of English (writing, speaking, listening).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Owner's team of site inspectors and coordinate site supervision activities.
• Oversee electrical construction, testing, and commissioning of PV systems, MV infrastructure, substations, and related facilities, ensuring design and quality compliance.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance, progress, quality, safety, and schedules; identify risks and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with EPC contractor, consultants, OEMs, utility representatives and stakeholders for effective project execution.
• Witness inspections, testing, energization and commissioning; review documentation and support handover and final acceptance.
